We are seeking a project executive with a minimum of 15+ years experience of commercial construction experience for our south Florida region.  The project executive will be ultimately responsible for business development, contract negotiations, insurance requirements, risk management, establishing policies, and executive oversight of projects from preconstruction, through construction and closeout. Will consider a Senior Project Manager looking to advance.

The project executive provides overall leadership and direction on the construction project. Involvement and executive oversight will be primarily within the company core markets, including education (k-12 and higher education0, municipal, local government, and multifamily.  Additional responsibilities will include pursuing and overseeing work within the private sector with existing clients and new clients.  The project executive will be part of the senior leadership team and participate in monthly management meetings and establish company policies.  In addition, the project executive will work closely with project teams, other executives, and directors within the company (project managers, project engineers, superintendents, and project coordinators) to provide guidance in the development of the project planning, including staffing requirements, material needs, etc. For projects under the project executive, project teams could range from -9

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering or related field with 15+ years of experience as a project manager/executive role, in  company markets, preferred
  • Experience leading multiple successful project teams, including development of direct reports and maintaining relationships with external entities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills with the ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others while maintaining effective relationships with customers by meeting or exceeding their expectations.
  • Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, project management software (Prolong, CMiC or similar), accounting cost management software (CMiC or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar) & CMAR
  • Experience in the multifamily and hospitality markets if preferred to support the company's initiative of pursuing work in these markets.
