The Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Culpeper District is seeking a Fiscal Technician to provide exceptional customer service while entering and maintaining accurate financial files. The selected candidate will need to be flexible, adaptive, dependable, and technologically proficient.
As a VDOT Fiscal Technician, you will:
Perform fiscal transactions in support of district procurement activities
Key data into the State’s automated financial management system
Maintain, calculate, research, validate and perform large amounts of data entry transaction of various kinds
Process transactions including time and attendance, accounts payable, procurement, small purchase charge card (SPCC), travel expenses, inventory, and other related fiscal transactions.
Interpret and apply basic policies and procedures related to financial transactions and general business operations.

VDOT utilizes a market-based pay program, which has been approved by DHRM. Therefore, advertised rates of pay may or may not align with the Commonwealth pay bands.
