Job Summary

The HVAC Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of the HVAC equipment while maintaining a high standard of service. The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair(s) of the commercial systems. 

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
• Inspect and test systems to verify plan and specification standards of compliance
• Diagnostics of commercial air conditioning and heating equipment. This includes all aspects of equipment including but not limited to compressors, condensers, thermostats, gauges, wiring, pumps, fans, etc.
• Recommend, develop and perform general maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing and vacuuming equipment, oiling parts and changing filters.
• Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to plan and execute HVAC installations and upgrades
• Complete all required documentation on services, explains guarantees/warranties and collects, records and uploads fees into internal software
• Document all work performed including but not limited to services reports, work orders by internal software
• Travel and respond to service calls in a timely manner

Skills and Qualifications

• EPA Certification is a must
• 2 years previous (field) experience in similar role preferred
• Ability to work independently/ as a part of a team
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in accordance with industry regulations and company policies
• Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Basic computer skills (electronic documentation)

Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and weekends when required.
