Overview

The Project Executive is the senior manager of the construction project team and leads the completion of construction projects from initial bid through completion.  The Project Executive will prepare detailed pre-construction plans and submittals for projects based on construction drawings and specifications. In the performance of this function, the Project Executive is responsible for communicating contract requirements and scopes of work to superintendents and other members of the project teams.  The primary responsibilities are customer relationship, managing project teams and developing team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate, and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope.
  • Create a budget, schedule of values, and submittals based on construction documents and estimate.
  • Oversight of projects at a high level from beginning to end including budget, costs, unexpected events, general performance, and overall progress against plan.
  • Perform constructability analyses through the identification of design and constructability issues.
  • Organize pre-construction meetings and review any issues found in the drawings or specifications with the project team prior to the commencement of work.
  • Develop value add analyses by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient.
  • Serve as company liaison between the client and the office.
  • Review drawing revisions and keep construction documents updated for the field personnel for projects assigned.
  • Price change orders as necessary due to revisions or additions to contract scope of work.
  • Analyze existing site conditions and all contract documents (plans specifications, etc.) to determine any required scope that is not indicated.
  • Visit sites regularly to monitor project performance, schedule, and expenditures with project staff, highlight potential challenges and provide leadership in responding creatively to bring projects in on schedule and under budget, where feasible.
  • May perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering and/or 10 years of applicable field construction management experience, including supervisory skills.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.  Experience with Deltak Computerease is a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Position will be based in Nashville, TN, but will require travel to job sites through the South.

Job Type: Full-time

The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $180,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
