D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Quality Control Analyst Specialist for their Quality Control Department.  The right candidate, with direct supervision, clearly identify, define and document the business needs and regulatory requirements of the Quality Control Company and communicate these to the Quality Control Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine feasibility for projects related to Second Look, Reporting, and/or Audit Sampling in accordance with Investor/Agency Guidelines.


• Advise the appropriate people on the implications of existing systems that can be applied to a problem.


• Develops and/or evaluates previously refined data and programs and select from a range of alternatives to determine the appropriate action to be taken.


• Develops or assists in the development of work plans, specifications, task sequencing, and the extent to which tasks may be performed concurrently.


• Investigate the quality and accuracy of the various audit sampling selections performed monthly and quarterly, post-closing and pre-funding.


• Maintains detailed and accurate records.


• Communicate or seek approval on complex matters with the Quality Control Manager.


• Develops time schedules, conversion and test procedures for all aspects of system.


• Accommodate schedule for assigned overtime assigned by QC Management.


• Prepare to travel to DHIM Austin location frequently at the discretion of QC Management if working in locations outside of DHIM Austin.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience                      

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mortgage background production and/or servicing required

Other Qualifications                      

• BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration, or related technical field is preferred. Mortgage background production or servicing required

• 1-2 years of systems design work experience or relevant financial services experience

• Thorough understanding of project management and control

• Ability to communicate ideas and problem solutions

• Ability to effectively work with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise

• Must be customer-service oriented
