Commercial Superintendent

Moline Construction Management, Inc is a full-service General Contractor specializing in the Hospitality Industry. Moline superintendents work in various locations throughout the United States.

Summary:

The primary duty of the Commercial Superintendent is to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job-site safety, with close monitoring from your direct supervisor.

Reports:

Project Manager

Responsibilities:

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to Project Manager for resolution.

Perform Superintendent Duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.

Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.

Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning as needed.

Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding work quality or scheduling.

Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

Perform, identify, complete job progress and punch list identification prior to the final walk.

Interpret, understand, and execute standard building plans.

Perform preconstruction meeting with Project Manager

Gather project material, submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.

Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day. (Onsite visit is preferential, phone is acceptance if workload dictates.)

Requirements:

Must be willing to travel 100% of the time.

Experience working in construction industry is required.

Experience working in Hospitality industry is preferred.

Proven ability to remain organized while working under difficult conditions.

Strong communication skills.

Must be able to multitask and prioritize.

Must be a team player.

Must be detail oriented.

Must be a self-starter and self-motivated.

Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and to interact professionally with customers.

High School diploma

2 years' experience in supervising construction projects. Must be able to move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Pay:

$65,000 to $80,000 Annually plus Vehicle and Cell Phone Allowance
